Why I refer to the lingua franca, as American, instead of "English," or American-English.
If that were left to the British, they were only a colony-empire, as French were, too. The dominant (hegemony) language was the French, then -- although the British committed the majority of conquests in land.
That was the rise and prominence of the USA to captivate the imagination of the World -- and that was to pump the French out, as the culture hegemony. i.e: The question is whether we would value the colony, or the hegemony.
R-world is yet another phase of freedom, and fair-force -- fitting with the good [old] American, as I perceive.
Therefore, with heightened emphasis, I refer to that as American, when I refer to the language I employ to craft, to inform.
